Senior Pastor - Paul G Chamberlain

Paul had a clear-cut vision from God during the early 1980's to start Calvary Church, which came to life in 1985 whilst he was working for a major financial institution. During the first 9 years he balanced the two roles of Pastor and Manager, until it became essential in 1994 to go " full time ". He not only takes the Senior Pastoral role within the Church but also holds regional responsibility with a local church network ( The Net ) and also Assemblies of God.

Paul and Gail have been happily married for over 30 years and have two grown up children, Adam and Bethany. Adam is married to Debbie; they have a son, Noah.

Assistant Pastor - Gail Chamberlain

Originally trained as a teacher, Gail is now a fully ordained Assemblies of God pastor, working alongside her husband Paul, the senior pastor at Calvary Church. She has become an inspirational, skilled and honest communicator; utilising her evangelistic and leadership gifting locally, nationally and internationally.

Gail is also an author; her first book ‘Harvest from Heartache’ published by Kingsway, recounts the story of the loss of their second son Matthew in 1980’s; how they coped with every parent’s worst nightmare and how Calvary Church was ‘birthed’ in that season of their lives.

Assistant Pastor - Tony Wright

Tony started his working life as an engineer in the 1970’s He is an inventor, designer and avid watercolourist having exhibited many times. He also designs and builds electric guitars.  He retrained in the 1980’s to become first a teacher then a lecturer in further education rising to head of 3D design and  teaching to HND level. After a health scare in 1998, he took early retirement and was at this time invited onto the pastoral team. He brings a unique teaching gift in the support of Paul and Gail’s ministry and is also a fully ordained AOG minister. He also has a passion for mission at home and overseas.
